Blackboard Course Requests

Blackboard Course Requests are now submitted online through the Rowan Self-Service (Banner) system. This is an updated process for requesting course sections in Blackboard. Faculty will be required to use this new process in Self-Service for all Spring 2012 course sections.

Instructions for Submitting Blackboard Course Requests for CGCE Courses
Through the Rowan Self-Service (Banner) system, CGCE faculty can submit a course request (request export), cross-listing request, as well as an extension request online. Click here to view the new Submitting Blackboard Course Requests Online handout (pdf) for CGCE faculty.

  • For Online and Hybrid Courses: CGCE online and hybrid courses are automatically exported and created in CGCE’s Blackboard Learn system. If you are teaching an CGCE online and hybrid course, you do NOT have to submit a course request for a course shell for your online and hybrid courses to be created in Blackboard. You should consult your assigned Instructional Designer.
  • For Web-Assisted, Evening and Day Courses: If you are teaching a CGCE web-assisted, evening or day course and you would like a course shell to be created in Blackboard, you MUST submit a course request to have a course shell exported and created in CGCE’s Blackboard Learn system. See the Submitting Blackboard Course Requests Online handout (pdf) above for instructions.
